There are few things in life more annoying than the Crazy Frog. However RCD Espanyol is one of those things and they have a chance to annoy further this weekend as the day every Periko bases his life around finally arrives: DERBI DAY. To be fair to the Barcelona budgie brigade the Catalan derbi is rapidly becoming more and more significant for Barça and rarely has a contest between the two sides been so feared by cules. Here is a chance for Espanyol to overtake Barça in the table and compound all the misery and hurt they piled on by denying us the league title at the end of last season.
The Barcelona players failed to dispel any doubts about their capabilities away from home by twice throwing away the lead at the Stade Gerland against Olympique Lyonnais. That match was attended by 5 PUB members who had a very enjoyable time in the lovely city of Lyon meeting up with many travelling cules from Barcelona and singing on the boys for 90 minutes during the match as part of the raucous blaugrana support. The Penya was delighted to make contact with the enthusiastic Grup Fidel of Barcelona who travel to most games home and away and also with FC Blaugrana, a newly formed French Penya based in the city of Lyon. We look forward to continued good relations with both groups in the future.
